Guwahati: Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) in Arunachal Pradesh marked a significant milestone in its history on October 10, with the inauguration of its first-ever Mental Health Camp.
This initiative, spearheaded by the Department of Psychology, aimed to address the growing importance of mental health in the workplace and create a supportive environment for students, faculty, and staff.

The camp was formally inaugurated by Prof. S.K. Nayak, Vice Chancellor of RGU, who emphasized the significance of mental health awareness and the need for such initiatives.
Dr. N.T. Rikam, the Registrar of RGU, also attended the event and commended the department for organizing the camp.
The camp featured a range of activities, including awareness talks, psychological testing, handwriting analysis, free counseling sessions, and creative exercises.

Dr. Sandeep, Assistant Professor of Psychology, played a key role in organizing the camp. Along with his research scholars and colleagues, he aimed to create a supportive environment where individuals could openly discuss their mental health concerns and seek assistance.
