Rajiv Gandhi University Arunachal Pradesh is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or jobs of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DST funded research project entitled “Dream: Cognition and Culture: A Psycho-anthropological study on Nyishi Tribe in Arunachal Pradesh.” Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) (formerly Arunachal University) is the oldest university in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is located at Rono Hills in Doimukh town, about 28km from the state capital, Itanagar. The then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi laid The foundation stone for the university in 1984. The university became Rajiv Gandhi University in 2005 when UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi was on a visit to the state. Rajiv Gandhi University is a Central University under the Ministry of Human Resource Development  (MHRD),  Government of India since 9 April 2007. It is an accredited university under the University Grants Commission.

Salary : Rs. 31,000/-per month +HRA(as per norms) for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 35,000/- per month + HRA(As per norms) for 3rd year if eligible

Essential qualification :

Master Degree in Psychology with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent and clearance of UGC NET/PhD in the subject concerned only

Age limit : Not more than 28 years (5 years relaxation for SC/ST).

Selection Procedure :

Candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview on 22nd October, 2024 from 3.00PM onwards in the Department of Psychology, Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh
