The West Siang district administration launched a public grievances cell at the deputy commissioner’s office in Aalo on Thursday.
This has been launched in an effort to address the security concerns and grievances of the people amid the nationwide lockdown.
“Manned by limited staffs from the DC’s office, the grievances cell remained open from 10 am to 4 pm every day and the public can WhatsApp or e-mail their concerns to the numbers and e-mail address which is being circulated in various forums,” officials said.
The district police led by its superintendent Jummar Basar has on the other hand launched ‘Each One, Help One’, a campaign that aims at helping financially weak families of the district by providing them with the required ration during the national lockdown.
Through the campaign, the police are currently helping 37 financially weak families with the numbers expected to grow in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the West Siang district administration has so far reached out to 407 migrant labourers out of the targeted 2872.
The labourers are either provided food in the designation relief camp or provided ration from the SDRF fund by the disaster management department.
The ‘Mask for all’ campaign is also simultaneously being conducted at sectors and villages by the district unit of Arunachal Pradesh Doctor’s Association.
