Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday received a consignment of the Covishield vaccine from the Centre.
A total of 28,320 vaccines arrived on Thursday at the Lilabari Airport in Assam’s North Lakhimpur, from where it was transported to neighbouring Arunachal Pradesh.

Chief minister Pema Khandu took to Twitter to thank the Centre for sending the consignment of vaccines when positive cases are still a matter of concern in the state.
Khandu also appealed to the people to not let down their guard and strictly adhere to all Covid-19 protocols.

Meanwhile, 298 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday, taking the total number of cases to34,214.
The disease also claimed two lives and with this the death toll increased to162.
The state at present has 2,565 active cases
