The case was registered following her FIR where she alleged that the Trinamool Congress leaders even after being pleaded not to step out of the airport lounge, physically assaulted them in order to come out of the airport, when the CrPC 144 was already imposed in the whole of Cachar district.

She said in her FIR that not only herself, but one of her fellow colleagues, Swapna Das and a photographer, Partha Seal, were seriously wounded due to the physical assaults by the delegation members.

Superintendent of Police, Cachar, Rakesh Roshan speaking to Northeast Now, said, “We have received an FIR lodged by one of the woman police constables, who was deployed on duty at the airport. She has received injuries following physical assaults by the (Trinamool Congress) leaders. Since, leveling any allegation or lodging any FIR against MPs and MLAs needs protocol to be maintained, I have deputed one police officer of DSP level to investigate into the whole matter”.
