A 4.9 magnitude earthquake in Chinese territory has jolted the frontier state of Arunachal Pradesh. 

Tremors of the earthquake that had epicenter at Xizang in China, were felt in Arunachal Pradesh. 

Tremors were also felt in parts of upper Assam. 

Xizang area of China falls close to the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh. 

The earthquake was recorded at 4:29 am (IST) on Tuesday.
