Guwahati: A six-member delegation from Bangladesh recently embarked on a familiarization tour of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, aiming to explore the tourism potential of India’s Northeast region.
The tour, which concluded in Guwahati on Monday, was a positive step towards strengthening tourism ties between the two nations.

Leading the delegation, Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner Ruhul Amin announced plans to promote Northeast Indian tourism in Bangladesh.

He revealed the organization of a tourism conclave and business-to-business meeting in Guwahati, followed by a reciprocal familiarization tour for Bangladeshi travel stakeholders.

Expressing their satisfaction with the experience, the delegation, including Pacific Asia Travel Association Bangladesh chapter general secretary Taufiq Rahman, praised the “insightful and memorable” tour that covered key destinations like Bomdila, Dirang, Kaziranga, and Tezpur.
