The foreign countries are putting its best efforts to evacuate its citizens from India as the country is observing a nationwide lockdown in an attempt to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The United Kingdom had recently revealed to British nationals in India on how they can ask for help if they wish to return to their native country in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

In a tweet, the British High Commission in India stated, “If you are a British national who wishes to return urgently to the UK, please contact us using the email – [email protected] Include your full name (and names of any family members), Date of Birth, passport number, visa status, date of arrival/return & contact details.”

US Ambassador to India Ken Juster on Wednesday stated that the US id going all out to arrange flights for bringing US citizens who are stranded in India back to their native country.

He tweeted, “The US Mission to India continues to work with @StateDept& airline companies to arrange flights from India to the U.S. for U.S citizens. Once flights are arranged, we will work with the GoI to arrange to the greatest extent possible safe passage to airports for U.S. citizens.”

Meanwhile, Germany on Thursday took back 506 German citizens from India back to their native country.

In a tweet, the Germany Embassy in India stated, “First repatriation flight from Delhi to Frankfurt succesful! In an immense team effort we could bring home 506 people!
