Golaghat Police has launched an innovative step of tracking lost mobile phones of people in Golaghat district.
If one has lost their mobile phone in any part of Golaghat district, one can go the Facebook page of Golaghat police where a QR code can be found.
After clicking a form link given above the QR code, one will have to fill all the details as given in the form to let the police track the mobile phone easily.
Various details like name, contact number of the lost mobile phone, IMEI number, date and place where the mobile had been lost had to be filled in the form.
After submitting the online form, the Golaghat Police will take all possible steps of tracking the lost mobile phone.
Golaghat Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ) Partha Protim Saikia said that time is a very important factor while the operation of tracking of a lost mobile phone is being carried out.
He also said that there are high possibilities of finding a lost mobile phone soon when a person reports the loss earlier.
He further added that if the loss of a mobile phone is reported late to the police, then difficulties arise in tracking lost mobile phones.
The Golaghat Police had thus launched an online platform for the public to report the loss of a mobile phone easily within a short time period.
With the mobile phone now becoming an important item of a person’s life, the Golaghat Police is hopeful that its step will be of good help to the public.
