Born on June 8, 2010, she has carved a niche for herself in para cycling through exceptional grit and determination, competing with the use of only one arm.

Her selection comes after a series of impressive performances on the national and international stage. Lisha won the gold medal at the 2025 National Para Road Cycling Championship, clinched two gold medals at the Lanna Cup, secured a bronze medal at the Korat Cup, and bagged two silver and three bronze medals at the 2026 Asian Para Track Championships.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Biswanath, organised a felicitation programme to honour the young cyclist following her selection for the Commonwealth Games.

Lisha will join a distinguished group of athletes from Assam representing India at the Glasgow Games, including Olympic bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain and lawn bowls players Nayan Moni Saikia and Putul Sonowal.
