Guwahati: During the ongoing Youth Festival, a youth was allegedly killed after being stabbed in the Goroimari area of Kamrup, Assam on Sunday.
The youth was stabbed by a dagger during the ongoing youth festival at Brahmaputra Valley Academy in Goraimari.

The deceased was identified as Lohit Hussain (18) from the Bhauria Bhitha area of Goroimari.

However, reports stated that he was attacked by unidentified persons and that an investigation had been initiated detaining one suspect.

Right after the incident, Hussain was admitted to a local hospital and although he was referred to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, he succumbed to the injuries before any arrangements could be made.

The apprehended person has been identified as Rakibul Haque.
Police said that the motive behind the attack is not yet known but Haque is being interrogated and soon the motive will be found.
