At least nine members of a family were injured in a clash that took place due to a land dispute in Nagarbera.
As per reports, the dispute took place in Nagarbera’s Kalyanpur on Wednesday night.
During the clash, nine members of a family were attacked by their relatives with lethal weapons including machetes and batons.
The injured persons were identified as Mizanur Rahman, Sanuwar Hussain, Akmal Hussain, Aftar Hussain, Alkaz Ali, Rahul Amin, Ikabul Hussain, Rashida Begum and Morisful Nessa.

They have been shifted to the GMCH in Guwahati for treatment.
Sanuwar Hussain alleged that they were attacked by their uncles and cousins late in the night over reasons that were not known to them.
He claimed his relatives namely, Motiur Rahman, Ataur Rahman and Khairul Rahman along with many others came into their house suddenly in the night and attacked them with machetes and batons.

He added that they were outnumbered.
“There was no reason for them to attack us. We did have a land dispute but that was solved many days ago. I do not know, why they attacked us like this”, he said.
Meanwhile, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
