Dhing legislator Aminul Islam has demanded the extension of the Assam Assembly session alleging that many important topics are left unattended due to the “short period” of the sessions.
Islam said that several important discussions are being left out as there is a lack of time in the Assembly.
He added, “Sometimes, in written answers, there are no annexures and since there has been a shortage of time for discussions, supplementary questions are left out.”

He added that the assembly sessions should be held for at least 40-50 days combined but this time the session is being held for only 5 five days.
“We demand the session to be increased to at least 10 days so that important topics can be discussed”, he added.
Islam also alleged that the government is trying to evade important discussions and topics by doing so.
He also alleged that the financial condition of the state is in a very critical condition but the government is spending money on useless things.
