The education department of Assam has asked the schools of the state to conduct the internal examinations for the students of Class 9 and 10.
The principal secretary to the education department of Assam has issued an order to the schools in this regard.
In the order, the principal secretary to the education department warned that the teachers of the schools, which fail to conduct internal examinations, would not get salaries.
The education department has asked the schools to conduct the annual test examinations and the unit tests on time.
The schools will also have to conduct the internal examinations for the students of Class 9 and 10 without fail.
The education department threatened that the schools, which fail to conduct such examinations, may be de-recognized.
The Assam Cabinet has already taken important decisions on examinations for the students of Class 9 and 10.
The State Cabinet has formed a special internal evaluation committee.
After one unit test of the Class 9 students, the half-yearly examination will be held and after one more unit test, the annual examination will be held.
The pre-board examination will be held for the students of Class 10.
For the unit test of Class 10, the district examination committee and for the pre-board, half-yearly and annual examinations, a secret committee will prepare question papers.
The answer sheets will be checked in the respective schools.
However, a separate arrangement has been made for evaluation of the papers of the half-yearly, annual and pre-board examinations.
The details of the examinations will have to be uploaded to the respective portal.
