Mizoram reported 468 new Covid19 positive cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the Covid19 bulletin, released by the department of information and public relations (DIPR), Mizoram, with detection of the new cases, the state’s positive tally increased to 25,170 on Wednesday morning.
Out of the total Covid19 positive cases registered in Mizoram so far, 14,036 are male and 11,134 are female.
Of the 468 new cases, 104 were confirmed during RT-PCR test at Zoram Medical College (ZMC), 17 were confirmed during TrueNAT while 347 cases were confirmed during Rapid Antigen Test.
In the last 24 hours, 157 patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, have recovered from the disease.
Of the recoveries, Aizawl reported 111 recoveries, Kolasib – 14, Lunglei – 12, Serchhip – 9, Lawngtlai – 5, Mamit – 4 and Khawzawl reported 2 recoveries.
So far, a total of 19,994 people have recovered from the deadly disease.
A total of 113 people have lost their lives due to Covid19 infection in Mizoram so far.
Mizoram currently has 5,063 active Covid19 cases.
Of the active Covid19 cases, Aizawl has 3252 cases, Lunglei – 465, Siaha – 105, Champhai – 33, Kolasib – 467, Serchhip – 32, Lawngtlai – 480, Mamit – 203, Khawzawl – 4, Hnahthial – 10 and Saitual district currently has 12 active cases.
On Tuesday, one patient died of Covid19 infection in Mizoram.
Mizoram reported 519 new Covid19 positive cases on Tuesday.
A total of 157 people recovered in Mizoram on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Mizoram’s Covid19 recovery rate stood at 80.80%.
India reported 31,443 new cases in the last 24 hours.
A total of 3,00,63,720 people have so far recovered from the disease across the country so far.
India’s Covid19 recovery rate increased to 97.28% on Tuesday.
A total of 49,007patients recovered in the last 24 hours.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 4,31,315, which is the lowest in 109 days.
The active cases constitute 1.40% of total cases registered in India.
The weekly positivity rate remains below 5%, currently at 2.28%, the Union health ministry said in a statement.
