Another two person succumbed to Covid-19 on Sunday in Assam’s Kokrajhar district after a gap of three days .

The deceased were Lankeswar Ray, a 72-year-old resident of Diajhijiri and Prasenjit Barman, a resident of Bodlagaon in the district.

While Ray was admitted at the Bongaigaon hospital and Barman was undergoing treatment for Covid-19 at the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital in Barpeta.

So far, 48 person have lost their lives to the virus during the second wave in Kokrajhar district.

The total number of active cases is 312 in the district and 29 persons were discharged from different hospitals on Sunday.

The number of patients in home isolation at present is 119 and another 179 patients are currently undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the district.
