Mizoram governor, P.S. Sreedharan Pillai has gifted cash worth Rs 1,65,000 to 21 orphanages and shelter homes in and around Aizwal.
The monetary help came as a great Christmas gift for these orphanages and shelter homes that have been struggling to keep their inmates safe from infection during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

According to sources, Pillai interacted with the representatives of these orphanages in the Raj Bhawan on Tuesday morning and handed over the cash to them.
He also took stock of any problem being faced by them.
The governor later left for an official programme outside the state.
