Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday registered 6 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 341.

According to the latest update on COVID19, shared by the state health department on its twitter handle, out of the 6 new cases, 5 positive cases are from the Itanagar Capital Region and the other case is from West Kameng district.

The health department said all the infected patients are “asymptomatic” and they were being shifted to the Covid Care Centres.

The health department also informed that 5 more patients, who were earlier infected by COVID19, have been discharged on Saturday.

All the recovered COVID19 patients have been discharged from Changlang and they have been advised to undergo 14-day home quarantine.

After the detection of the new cases the active COVID19 cases in Arunachal Pradesh now stand at 214 while a total of 125 patients have recovered.

The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of two COVID19 patients in Arunachal Pradesh.

The COVID19 positive cases in India crossed the 8 lakh-mark with 27,114 cases and 519 deaths reported in the last 24 hours across the country.

The total number of positive cases in the country now stand at 8,20,916 including 2,2123 fatalities, 2,83,407 active cases, and 5,15,386 recoveries, according to data released by the Union health ministry.

India is the third worst-hit nation, behind the United States and Brazil.
