Four NSCN cadres were apprehended by the security forces in separate incidents in Assam and Nagaland.
Of the cadres, two belong to NSCN (IM) and two to the NSCN (K) faction of the outfit.
Defence sources informed that one Raju Bramo of the NSCN (IM) was apprehended near Lalpahara in Tinsukia district on Friday.
One .22 pistol along with live ammunition were also seized from his possession.
In a separate operation, one Nyaoba Konyak alias Nweypa, identified as a senior cadre of NSCN (IM), was apprehended from near Titabor in Jorhat district on Thursday.
He was trying to escape a check post when he was nabbed by the security forces.
Two US-made Beretta pistols with two magazines were also seized from his possession.
The cadre was actively involved in planning and conduct of extortion and kidnapping activities in upper Assam
In another joint operation, a joint-team of Army and Assam Rifles apprehended two NSCN (K) cadres from near Yoching under Mon district on Saturday, April 25.
They have been identified as Sergeant Kabato Sema and Sergeant Lokivi Sema.
One .32mm pistol, 10 live rounds and Rs 25, 000 cash were also seized from their possession.
