Arunachal Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) RP Upadhyaya has urged the people to follow the lockdown order so that police’s job becomes easier.

“The police forces of the state are making a lot of effort to enforce the lockdown. Our job will become much easier if people cooperate with us,” the DGP said.

Upadhaya also visited various areas of the capital complex and interacted with the police personnel posted there.

The DGP further informed that the on-duty police personnel are taking utmost precautions to keep themselves safe while discharging their duties.

Upadhaya also informed that the police have used a number of tactics to enforce the lockdown.

He also said that except for a few, the majority of people across the state have adhered to the lockdown protocols and have cooperated with the police.

He also informed that the villagers have been the most proactive and they have initiated their own quarantine measures.

“For those who have not followed the lockdown protocols, we have talked with them and counselled them and made them understand the gravity of lockdown and why it is important,” the DGP added.
