Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader and RTI activist Akhil Gogoi was taken into custody by Sivasagar Police early Thursday morning.
Sivasagar Police in a very discreet manner took Akhil Gogoi to Sivasagar from Guwahati Central Jail early Thursday morning at around 5:30 am.
He was taken in a Xylo car with tinted glass.
Notably, the Sivasagar Police has appealed for his custody even after he was granted bail by the special court of National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday.

The Sivasagar Police have appealed for the re-arrest of the peasant leader in connection with a case registered in December last year.
It was the time when Akhil Gogoi was a prominent face of the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) movement.
