The union health ministry on Friday informed the media that the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases stands at 81 and of these, three from Kerala were treated and discharged.

“Moreover, seven more from Safdarjung have also recovered,” said the union health minister Harsh Vardhan.

“The Central government along with States/UTs has taken several preemptive, timely and proactive measures for prevention, containment and management of COVID-19,” the minister added.

He also informed that the government is doing continuous review and monitoring of the situation at the highest political and administrative levels and this has led to decisive actions taken in the public interest.

He further added that adequate laboratory and quarantine facilities have contributed significantly towards COVID-19 management in the country.

He further informed that essential facilities like community surveillance, quarantine, isolation wards, adequate PPEs, trained manpower, rapid response have strengthened across the country.
