Assam Agricultural University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Young Professional-I in the project entitled “Assessment of agro- ecology-based cropping systems and natural bio-inputs for soil health improvement and product quality enhancement in Assam, India.” Assam Agricultural University is the first institution of its kind in the whole of North-Eastern Region of India. The main goal of this institution is to produce globally competitive human resources in farm sector and also to carry out research in both conventional and frontier areas for production optimization as well as to disseminate the generated technologies as public good for benefitting the food growers/produces and traders involved in the sector while emphasizing on sustainability, equity and overall food security at household level. Assam Agricultural University was altogether established on April 1, 1969 under The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968.

Qualification :
Post 1 : M.Sc. in Agriculture with specialization in Agronomy
Post 2 : M.Sc. in Agriculture with specialization in Soil Science (candidates having experience in soil microbiology will be preferred)
Emoluments : Rs. 25000/- per month
Age limit: 35 years (5 years relaxation for ST/SC and also 3 years for OBC candidate)
