H3N2 is s a subtype of Influenza A virus that mainly causes respiratory illness

According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), H3N2 appears to cause more hospitalization than other influenza subtypes

The symptoms of this disease include fever, cough, runny nose, body aches, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea

As the virus can spread rapidly among humans from infected people, here are some do’s and don’ts for your safety-

Dos

Wear masks, avoid crowded places, cover mouth and nose while sneezing and coughing, take plenty of fluids, avoid touching eyes and nose, take paracetamol for fever and bodyache

Don’ts

Shake hands or use greetings that involves contact with other person, spit in public, take antibiotics or other medicines without consulting a doctor, eat together by sitting very close with other people
