Former India all-rounder Yusuf Pathan has announced retirement from all forms of cricket on Friday.

A two-time world cup winning team member, Yusuf Pathan announced retirement from the game in social media.

“I officially announce retirement from all forms of the game,” Yusuf Pathan said.

“I thank my family, friends, fans, teams, coaches and the whole country wholeheartedly for all the support and love,” added Yusuf Pathan.

Yusuf Pathan is the elder brother of former India cricketer Irfan Pathan.

Yusuf Pathan represented India in a total of 57 ODIs and 22 T20Is.

Yusuf Pathan made his international debut in 2007.

Yusuf Pathan was a hard-hitting middle-order batsman and a right-handed off-spinner.

“The time has come today for me to put a full stop to this innings of my life,” Yusuf Pathan said.

“Winning two World Cups for India and lifting Sachin Tendulkar on my shoulders were some of the best moments of my career,” Yusuf Pathan added.

Yusuf was a member of both the T20 and 50-over World Cup-winning India squads of 2007 and 2011 respectively.
