United States (US) President Donald Trump on Friday announced that the country will donate ventilators to India.
He also revealed that India and the US are working together to develop a vaccine in order to beat the ‘invisible enemy’ coronavirus.

He also underlined the close partnership between the two countries and called Prime Minister Narendra Modi his ‘good friend.’
Trump’s announcements to send ventilators to India came just after a month the latter had provided a consignment of Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) tablets to the US.
“I am proud to announce that the United States will donate ventilators to our friends in India. We stand with India and @narendramodi during this pandemic,” Trump tweeted.

“We’re also cooperating on vaccine development. Together we will beat the invisible enemy,” he added.
Addressing the media, Trump lauded the Indian-American scientists for their efforts in developing medicines and vaccines in the hope of finding a cure for COVID-19.
“I just got back a short while ago from India recently and we are working very much with India and we have a tremendous Indian population in the US and many of the people that you are talking about are working on the vaccine too. Great scientist and researchers,” he said.
He also said that he is hopeful that a COVID-19 vaccine would be available by the end of this year.
