The Dalit girl breathed her last at a hospital in New Delhi on September 29.

She was gang-raped and assaulted on September 14, 2020 by four upper caste men in her village.

The last rites of the victim girl were performed in absence of her family members for which the Yogi Adityanath-led UP government faced widespread criticism.

After the incident, the opposition parties and organisations continue to protest across the country demanding justice.
