Sensation prevailed at Haflong in Assam’s Dima hasao district after unidentified miscreants attacked the office of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Monday.

The unidentified miscreants tried to torch the RSS office by pouring petrol. A CCTV was also damaged by the miscreants. However, a CCTV footage captured three youth entering the building with their faces covered and rushing out almost immediately.

Meanwhile, a complaint has been lodged at the Haflong police station. However, no arrest has been made till filing of this report.

Police have intensified patrol at the office and are also on the lookout for the miscreants.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Member of North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa rushed to the RSS office soon after the incident and took stock of the situation.

The CEM while condemning the anti-social incident demanded immediate arrest of those involved in the incident and exemplary punishment for those guilty.
