Agartala: Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma said on Saturday that his party will not act as a subordinate to any other political force.

He said that Tipra Motha was established to combat illegal activities and advocate for the rights and development of the people of Tripura.

In a strong audio message, Pradyot, the royal scion of Tripura, expressed concern about the growing divisiveness in the state, where issues of religion, ethnicity, and communal differences have overshadowed important conversations about development and unity.

“Today, in Tripura, people are focused on Hindu-Muslim or Tribal-Bengali conflicts, but no one is talking about jobs, roads, or development. Why is this happening? Who is spreading such hatred?” Pradyot questioned.

He reassured his supporters, the Tipra Motha warriors, that the party remains committed to its core values and principles.

“I didn’t form this party to serve as a B-team for anyone. Our mission is to stand with our people and protect their constitutional rights. We are not here to stay silent when injustices occur. Whether it’s a case of corruption, someone being killed, or any illegal activity, we will raise our voices. Our purpose is to help the people, not to remain quiet,” he said.

Pradyot urged his party members to remain vocal about the truth. “No one is stopping our warriors from speaking up. I have never asked anyone to remain silent. If you see wrongdoing, raise your voice—peacefully, of course—but don’t let it go unnoticed.”

“Stay united, stay politically and ideologically active. Our goal is to bring development to Tripura and preserve unity, despite the efforts of some individuals to spread hatred and divide us,” he added.
