Tripura police on Sunday arrested one extremist from Chawmanu of Dhalai district.
The accused Berajoy Tripura (30) is a cadre of the banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT, BM) and was involved in several cases of extortion.
Police picked up the cadre from the Chaya Kumar Para Jungle and recovered Rs 25,000 in cash from him.
Police had also arrested another NLFT (BM) extremist, Mantu Debbarma on Friday from Khowai district.

Police also seized money and a vehicle from Mantu Debbbarma.
Debbarma had been remanded to police custody for three days.
It was on the basis of the information provided by Debbarma that police seized the money from Berajoy on Sunday.
NLFT extremists had kidnapped three workers from Ganganagar of Dhalai district.
The extremist outfit released the victims after 16 days.
