The same was sent to the Central Government for approval.

The Central Government after reviewing the state proposal constituted a high powered committee.

The high powered committee after examining the state proposal advised the State Government to modify the project.

According to the recommendation of that committee the State Government modified the project amount of Rs 8802.74 crore.

Meanwhile, the opposition alleged it’s an attempt to woo the tribal voters ahead of election to Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) by the BJP government.
