The IndiGo Airlines passenger flights – 6E139 and 6E833 – which fly from Agartala to Kolkata everyday at 7 am and 9 am respectively have been temporarily halted.
As per a report published on Sunday by TNT the journey by the flights have been suspended due to extensive fog leading to poor visibility.
It has been reported that the services of the IndiGo flights are expected to resume from April next year.

It may be mentioned that after Jet Airways, budget airlines SpiceJet decided to suspend operations to Tripura capital Agartala from September 1, prompting Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb to seek intervention of the Union Civil Aviation Minister.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb had requested Union Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu on July 13, 2018 to intervene to have the airline retract its decision, an official of Tripura Chief Minister’s secretariat said earlier.
Jet Airways and SpiceJet had withdrawn services from Tripura citing revenue losses.
After withdrawal services of Jet Airways, Spicejet, the flight fares from Agartala to Kolkata reached all-time high and now the decision of the IndiGo Airlines will affect the people of the State as communication in Tripura who depend on flight services for easy way to reach Kolkata and the rest of the country.
