In order to boost campaigning ahead of the Tripura Assembly polls for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), party spokesperson and a former Union Cabinet Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain has been campaigning for party candidates across the State.

Hussain on Friday evening campaigned for BJP candidate in Kurtikadamtala Assembly constituency, Tinku Roy.

BJP leader Hussain delivered speech during a poll campaign at 7.30 in the evening on Friday and urged the voters to cast their votes in favour of the BJP candidate Tinku Roy in the February 18 elections.

Addressing the gathering during the election campaign, Hussain added, “Silly miffs between the Hindus and the Muslims are regular affair and when people stay together, difference of opinions would always come up but this frequent miffs should not turn into riots.”

Clamouring for a new BJP-led government after the Tripura Assembly election, Syed Shahnawaz Hussain raised the slogan ‘vote for a change’.

Apart from Kurtikadamtala, former Union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain also addressed election rallies in Koilasahar and Dharmanagar on Saturday.

Informing about his Tripura visit through his Twitter handle, Hussain tweeted on Thursday, “Today, addressed public meetings in Koilasahar, Dharmanagar and Kurti Kadamtala in Tripura state.”

Hussain along with former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda arrived in Tripura on Thursday to campaign for party candidates.

As he landed Tripura, the former Union Minister had tweeted, “Campaigning in Tripura today along with @ Munda Arjun ji. Reached Agartala in the morning, now have come to Dharamnagar. Will be addressing four public meetings at various locations.”
