A 75-year-old woman and a woman health worker were raped in two separate incidents in Tripura.
The 75-year-old woman was raped at Manikpur in Dhalai district of Tripura on Wednesday night.
A 25-year-old youth has been arrested by police after a case was lodged at Manikpur police station on Thursday.
According to sources, the accused was also involved in a 2018 murder case.

In another case, a woman health worker was abducted and gang-raped in Unokoti district.
According to the FIR lodged with Irani Police Station, the rapists made an unsuccessful attempt to kill the victim.
The incident took place on Tuesday.
Sources said the health worker was returning home in an auto-rickshaw after completing her work from the district hospital.
But she was abducted by the auto driver. Later two more youths joined the driver and gang-raped her.
The incident has caused a sensation in the area.
The police have registered a case in this regard but they are yet to arrest the culprits involved in the cases even after three days have passed since the incident.
Earlier, a 95-year-old woman was gang-raped in Kanchanpur in Tripura. The incident took place on October 24.
Police have also failed to arrest any rapist involved in that incident.
On the night of Lakshmi Puja, a 55-year-old woman was raped in Kaiyadhepa in the Sepahijala district.
However, the accused was caught by the locals and handed him over to the police.
On Wednesday, the All India Democratic Women’s Association staged a protest in front of the police headquarters in Agartala against crimes against women in the state.
They alleged that the police have failed to take action against the criminals involved in crimes against women in Tripura.
