BSF troops on Wednesday detained two Bangladeshi nationals near the Rahimpur Border Outpost in Sepahijala district as they attempted to enter India illegally.
Following their arrest, a joint operation with Tripura Police led to the capture of an Indian tout involved in aiding their infiltration.
In another operation on the night of October 17, BSF personnel apprehended a Bangladeshi national near the Mohanpur BOP in West Tripura district.

Additionally, two intelligence-driven operations involving the GRP Agartala and Tripura Police resulted in the arrest of three more Indian touts facilitating illegal cross-border movements.
A BSF official stated that the force has heightened vigilance along the Tripura border and is intensifying efforts to dismantle the tout networks operating in the region.
