Tamang has already won both the Soreng-Chakung and Rhenock seats, although the Election Commission of India (ECI) has not yet officially announced the results.
Meanwhile, the opposition Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) is leading in only one seat. Candidates from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress, and Citizen Action Party-Sikkim (CAP-S) also contested the Sikkim elections in 2024.
Most exit polls predicted that the SKM would retain power with a substantial majority.
