209 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Sikkim.    

The new cases have pushed the State’s total cases tally up to 18,659.    

Of the 209 new cases, 83 were detected in East Sikkim, 72 in South Sikkim, 51 in West Sikkim and 3 in North Sikkim district.    

The Himalayan state now has 3239 active cases.

These new cases in Sikkim have been detected after testing 1643 samples.    

The new cases in Sikkim have been detected at a positivity rate of 12.7%.    

Moreover, Sikkim has logged three more COVID-19 deaths.     

With these three new deaths, the COVID-19 death toll in Sikkim has risen to 284.

14,887 people in the State so far have recovered from the disease.

Meanwhile, 249 coronavirus-positive patients have migrated to other states.

Sikkim’s recovery rate currently stands at 79.7 per cent.
