Three more people have died of Covid-19 in Sikkim, taking the death toll in the state to 16.
Health department sources said a 42-year-old woman from Development area passed away after she was admitted in STNM Hospital on September 8.

She was also a kidney patient. A 61-year-old woman from Shantinagar at Singtam also succumbed to the disease at the STNM Hospital on Monday. She was suffering from comorbidities.
Similarly, a 68-year-old man from Bojoghari in Gangtok passed away at the STNM Hospital.
Meanwhile, East district continues to remain an active zone of transmission of Coronavirus with 31 new cases as per the latest health bulletin.

State capital Gangtok and its periphery has continued to show daily increase in the number of cases with as many as 10 cases from different localities.
There are now 567 active cases while 1,505 have been cured and discharged. With 16 deaths, there are a total of 2,086 Covid cases.
