Information Technology (IT) professionals from Meghalaya took part in an interactive event with the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, through video conferencing held at NIC Meghalaya Conference Hall in Shillong on Wednesday evening.

Modi along with other ministers and officials was sitting in New Delhi and interacted with IT and electronic manufacturing professionals and key industry leaders from across the country. The focus of the event was on volunteering efforts and initiatives taken by IT corporate and IT professionals in the social sector. The event was also live streamed to participants from the IT companies across the country through NIC webcast at pmindiawebcast.nic.in.

The Prime Minister said that India’s youngsters are leveraging the power of technology wonderfully, and they are using technology not only for themselves but for the welfare of others which is a wonderful sign. He said that the success of any Government initiatives lies in public involvement and it is essential for the nation’s growth.
