The former Supreme Court woman employee, who brought charges of sexual harassment against CJI and Assam’s son of the soil Ranjan Gogoi, said she was dejected and terrified as Gogoi gets clean chit in the case.
Earlier, the three-member apex court in-house committee which probed the sexual harassment case against Chief Justice of India (CJI) Gogoi, gave clean chit to the CJI in the case saying it found ‘no substance’ in the allegations leveled against Gogoi.
Reacting to the outcome of the Supreme Court in-house panel’s probe, the former apex court staffer said her worst fears have come true and all her hopes of justice have been shattered.
An India Today report quoted the former SC staffer as saying: “Today, my worst fears have come true, and all hopes of justice and redress from the highest court of the land have been shattered.”
The complainant, also reportedly said that the outcome of the panel’s probe has “highly disappointed and dejected” her as the in-house committee found “no substance” in the allegations of sexual harassment leveled by her against CJI Gogoi. She said she has felt that “gross injustice” has been done to her in the case by the top court.
The report further quoted the former SC staffer as saying: “I, the woman complainant, a former SC employee, am not just highly disappointed and dejected to learn that the In-House Committee ‘has found no substance’ in my complaint, but feel that gross injustice has been done to me as a woman citizen of India.”
