The Paltan Bazar Police arrested a 38-year-old man on charge of molestation of a 24-year-old girl at Big Baazar shopping mall in Guwahati on Monday evening.

The accused has been identified as Gujrat Boro, a resident of Kokrajhar.
Paltan Bazar police informed Northeast Now that Gujrat Boro was arrested immediately after receiving complaints from the girl against him.
A case (No 613/18) under Section 354 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the accused.

In another incident, Police on Monday also nabbed one youth from Paltan Bazar area in Guwahati for his alleged involvement in stealing mobile phones.
The 29-year-old accused has been identified as Yusuf Haque, a resident of Ulubari Kacharibasti in Guwahati.
A case (No 612/18) under Section 380 of IPC has been registered at Paltan Bazar Police Station.
The accused was produced before Kamrup (Metro) magistrate court on Tuesday.
