One such miraculous performer is Govind Sharma, called the king of basketball.
Always passionate about basketball, Govind Sharma born and raised in Delhi was curious about playing and winning basketball during his school days.
Initially, while living in Jammu and Kashmir, it was hard for him to practice and enhance his skills due to the lack of availability of sports arena with international standards and coaches with international level experience.

“Live life for passion,” says Govinda realizing the fact that basketball is his life, he quit his corporate job from a multinational company where he was settled with high scale revenue and a glittering future.
But Govinda’s inner voice always motivated his passion for basketball.
However, his decision of quitting his job proved a boon to him.
He was hit by a great opportunity to learn professional-level basketball and got to do practice from Singapore.
This was a turning point in his career where he proved his talent and became the first person ever to be FIBA 3×3 certified player from India.

Thus, Govinda Sharma is now considered a world-class basketball player from India.
He has worked as a head coach of the NBA Basketball School and had held head coach positions for many national level tournaments.
He even became the brand ambassador of initiatives from the Government of India,
Like Fit India Movements, he has been promoting the programme since its inception with the goal of spreading health awareness among Indian youths.

Govinda Sharma believing in his ability and nurturing his skills feels the responsibility of training next-generation youth representing India all over the world.
With the same motive, he has multiple sports academics in Delhi, Noida, and Siliguri with the label ‘KAGA Basketball Academy’.
He is now training the players in FIBA 3×3 basketball format & wants to promote it all across the country.
His NGO ‘Sab Khelo Sports Foundation’ has helped many wheelchair basketball players in boosting their confidence.
