Addressing the media in Dimapur Therie said, “An NPCC team toured the state and discussed CAA with people.”
“During the interactions, we found that the people at the grassroots are aware of the dangerous implications of CAA,” Therie added.
“If CAA is not removed then the larger communities and the religions will overpower us,” he added.
“We will never accept CAA in any form,” Therie reiterated.
He further informed that the Nagaland Congress will travel to more parts of the state and raise awareness against CAA.
He also lashed out at Rajya Sabha MP KG Kenye and Lok Sabha MP Lorho S Pfoze for voting in favour of CAA in the Parliament.
“The two MPs are gutless and toothless who failed to protect the aspirations and safety of the people of Nagaland,” he said.
