Nagaland’s Covid19 tally crossed 8,000-mark with the detection of 67 positive cases on Tuesday.
The state’s Covid19 tally now stands at 8,020, principal secretary (home) Abhijit Sinha said in his briefing.
Of the new 67 cases, 38 were detected in Dimapur, 13 in Kohima, 11 in Tuensang and five in Mon.
Sinha said out of the 8,020 positive cases, 6,267 patients recovered so far and the active cases stood at 1,657. There have been 22 deaths due to the pandemic.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1,576 active cases are asymptomatic, 62 mild, 13 moderate cases are on oxygen, three active cases are severe while three others are on ventilator.
Out of the 8,020 positive cases, 3,567 are from the armed forces/ police, 1,613 returnees, 2,448 traced contacts and 392 frontline workers.
Sinha said altogether 58,165 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 56,924 samples have been received.
In addition, a total 31,959 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 31,927 samples have been received.
Through rapid antigen test, 2,827 samples have been tested, he added.
