In a joint operation, security forces along with police apprehended an NSCN(KN) cadre near Naga United in Dimapur.

Based on specific intelligence, the security forces launched the joint operation and were able to apprehend the individual, said sources.
It is suspected that the individual was involved in extortion activity in the area, sources added.
During the operation, the troops recovered one 9 mm pistol with magazine, two unused booklets, 13 leaves of a booklet, 23 loose extortion slips, 7 GPRN assignment letter duly signed by V Iheto, secretary, Union Territory and one mobile phone from the possession of the cadre.

The apprehended cadre of NSCN(KN) along with recovered items were handed over to Diphupar police station for further investigations.
