Nagaland has registered 83 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 6,040 on Tuesday.
Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status on Tuesday said: “Update! 83 +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.”
The health minister informed that of the new positive cases, 77 have been detected in Dimapur district and 6 cases have been detected in Kohima district.
Health minister Phom informed that 45 other patients, who were earlier infected by COVID19, have recovered from the disease.
“Also, State reports 45 recoveries of COVID-19 patients,” Phom said.

Of the recovered patients, 35 are from Dimapur district, 6 from Kohima, 3 from Mokokchung and 1 patient has recovered from Mon district.
According to the data shared by the state health department, the total number of positive cases registered in Nagaland so far increased to 6,040.
A total of 4,942 patients have so far recovered from the disease in Nagaland.
Nagaland currently has 1,037 active COVID19 cases.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 12 positive patients.
A total of 44 positive patients have migrated from the state, according to the health department’s data.
