Dimapur: The lone Lok Sabha MP in Nagaland, S Supongmeren Jamir donated six community ambulances, funded under MPLADS 2024-25, to six districts of Kohima, Phek, Wokha, Zunheboto, Tseminyu, and Peren.

The ambulances were handed over to the respective tribal apex organisations of the districts here on Friday.

Appreciating the MP for this noble gesture, the Unified Naga Land for Christ, in a note of appreciation, said by judiciously utilising MPLADS funds, Jamir has set a shining example for his counterparts in the northeast and beyond.

His dedication to the people of Nagaland is evident through his efforts to improve healthcare facilities in the region, the release said.

It said Jamir’s selfless service has earned him appreciation and recognition, solidifying his reputation as a leader who truly cares for the well-being of his community.

The release added that it was truly inspiring that he won the last Lok Sabha election without spending a penny on buying votes.
