Nagaland Christian Revival Church (NCRC) Pastor Rev. Dr. Shiwoto Assumi, Pastor passed away on Sunday evening.
His demise has been deeply condoled by Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio.
Dr. Shiwoto Assumi was serving as the Pastor at NCRC Purana Bazaar.
He was one of the pioneers of Nagaland CRC.
Rev. Dr. Shiwoto Assumi was also a former president of Nagaland CRC Council.

The former vice-president of the Bible Society of India, Dr. Assumi was a member of the NCRC Advisory body.
“I am deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Rev. Dr. Shiwoto Assumi, Pastor, Nagaland Christian Revival Church (NCRC), Sumi, Purana Bazar on the evening of September 26, 2021,” Nagaland chief minister Rio said in his condolence message.
He was not only a powerful and charismatic preacher but a genuine human being who had deep concerns for the welfare of the Naga people, Rio said.
Late Reverend Shiwoto, wherever he went, preached about brotherhood and love – a message for which he will be fondly remembered, the chiuef minister stated.
Indeed, he was one of the pillars of Nagaland Christian Revival Church.
“He served as President of NCRC, Executive Secretary of NCRC (Sumi) and Vice President of the Bible Society of India,” Rio mentioned.
The Naga society as a whole has lost a spiritual guide and a mentor.
His demise has created a vacuum, which will be difficult to fill.
“However, let us celebrate his life today and cherish the wonderful memories he has left for us,” chief minister Rio said.
“My family joins me in conveying our deepest condolences to the bereaved family members. We humbly pray that Almighty God will give them comfort and strength to bear the irreparable loss,” Rio added.
“May the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” Rio added further.
