The Nagaland higher & technical education department has decided to constitute a 3-member enquiry committee to inquiry into the fund utilisation on the implementation of NEQIP Scheme at Khelhoshe Polytechnic, Atoizu (KPA).

The decision has been taken in response to the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) demand for setting up an enquiry committee to inquiry into the fund utilisation on the implementation of the North East Quality Improvement Program (NEQIP) Scheme at KPA.

According to a notification, issued by the Nagaland government, the three-member committee will have Kenilo Apon, commissioner & secretary, water resources department as chairman and Peter Lichimo, deputy commissioner, Zunheboto and Lhoubeizoto, audit officer, treasures & accounts as members.

The government has directed the committee to submit its report within a period of 3 months from the date of issue of the notification.

The scheme was funded by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi for strengthening of institutions in terms of infrastructure, faculty competence and quality of teaching, research and consultancy, improve learning outcomes and employability of students.

The fund was received by the institute in instalments during 2013-14 to 2015-16 and a total amount of Rs, 3,71,60,000 was directly transferred to the beneficiary institute.
