Altogether 280 people arrived at Dimapur Airport by flight on Wednesday.

Out of them, 130 came from Kolkata, 30 from Guwahati and 37 from Imphal by an Air India flight while 83 people came from Kolkata by an Indigo flight.

The Kohima-bound passengers were sent directly from the airport after screening by medical personnel.

The remaining other passengers were taken to the Agri Expo site at Dimapur for further segregation and transportation to different quarantine centres.

On Monday, an Air India flight carrying 112 stranded people from Kolkata landed at Dimapur Airport.

The air travellers were received at the airport by agriculture production commissioner Y. Kekhito Sema, who is also Dimapur in-charge of COVID-19 activities, Dimapur chief medical officer Dr Tiasunep Pongener and other government officials.

On Monday, an airport official said, two Alliance Air flights carrying 13 people from Imphal and three from Guwahati also arrived at the airport.
